getting to know you

We've been living in our new house for 1 month now & I still only feel partially acquainted with it. Each day brings a new discovery or a reminder that I'm really not used to all of this space. And, each day I fall more in love with it. I love it so much that I've been daydreaming about getting a job where I can work from home just so I can spend more time in the house (and with Pipo and the cats, of course).

The long weekend brought more progress on the house & lots of fun & relaxation.

After months & months of looking for the perfect chandelier (the search began the moment we went into escrow), I kept going back to the West Elm Glass Link Chandelier. There just wasn't anything else that compared. I jumped with excitement & even squealed after we made the purchase and carried it out to the car. Imagine my excitement once we put it up! There's a lot more to do in the dining room, but we're off to a great start.

We spent the 4th riding around on our bikes with friends and watching fireworks on a hill with a view of at least 5 different shows.

On Monday night, I made my first batch of Mamaw's spaghetti in the kitchen. It's officially home now.
